New Eats at ONU

As much as things change, the more they stay the same. After four years at this university these words have never felt so true. Over the summer, there was a number of renovations that drastically changed how a student on campus does one of their favorite things: Eat.

Just not enough parking

At first glance there seems to be enough parking for everyone. However, on closer examination that is not correct. There is not enough campus parking for the growing population at ONU.

Wednesday marked the start of the 15th Summer Paralympic Games, with the games being played in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. Wednesday also marked the start of the third Paralympic Games in which ONU swimming and diving coach Peggy Ewald has served on Team USA’s coaching staff.

Wells Fargo Ad Bashes Arts Community

If you have not yet heard about the controversial ad recently released by Wells Fargo Bank, ask any artist how they feel about it.  Many will most likely agree it is an insult to anyone in the creative arts.  The Wells Fargo ad created to promote Teen Financial Education Day on September 17 (pictured below) seemed to place careers in math and science ahead of professional artistic pursuits.

ONU student has local connection to Olympic medalist

New Madison, Ohio is a small town made up of rural farm communities that has a population of about 900. Several students that graduated from Tri-Village local schools came to Ohio Northern University to further their education. One Tri-Village graduate, from the class of 2013, made their debut at the 2016 Rio Olympic this summer and several students at ONU grew up with this Olympic star.

Ohio Northern University's Department of Art & Design offers its first gallery exhibition of the 2016-17 academic school year, with "The All Weather Gang." The exhibition features plein air paintings created by western New York artists.

Rolling around in the mud

The annual Founders Mud Volleyball tournament was held on August 27, where students rolled in the mud to raise money for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library in Hardin County.
