The PAC computer lab

This year I finally was able to live off-campus, and it has been nothing less than amazing. I have a new sense of freedom associated with living off campus. The one advantage about living off campus that stands out is that I have my own Internet and no longer have to worry about the Wi-Fi issues associated with campus.

Keiser Distinguished Lectureship in the Life Sciences Features Dr. Alan Steinman

Every year, the Keiser Distinguished Lectureship in the Life Sciences features a world renowned ecological or biological scientist.    Dr. Jay Mager, chair of the Keiser Distinguished Lectureship in Life Sciences, says that the goal of lectureship is to “promote dialogue and interaction between students and internationally renowned biologists”.  This year’s Keiser Distinguished Lectureship in the Life Sciences featured Dr. Alan Steinman, director of Grand Valley State University’s Annis Water Resources Institute.

“Survivor Man” Les Stroud coming to ONU

Canadian television star, explorer and musician, Les Stroud (Photo by Watch TV).

Les Stroud, creator and star of “Survivor Man,” a survival show distributed across Canada and the United States will perform at the Freed Center's Biggs Theater at 7:30 pm on Saturday, October 29. Stroud's show will feature a combination of his adventures, film making and music.

A preview of his performance can be seen here. Tickets for students are only $10 and can be purchased at the Freed Center box office available at 419.772.1900.

Homecoming unites students and alumni in 'Polar Bear State of Mind'

Saturday's Homecoming game united current ONU students with alumni. The weekend featured a parade and tailgating events. 

Solar Panel Array Begins Construction

GEM Energy has officially began construction on a 2 megawatt solar panel field that will supply energy to ONU.

At the solar field’s ground breaking ceremony several individuals significant in the projects development were present such as ONU President Dr. Daniel DiBiasio, Director of Sustainability Terry Keiser and GEM Energy President Bill Alexander.
