Ashlie Baumann makes her own moves now

In a typical women’s collegiate cross country race, lasting 3.7 miles, the ‘actual race’ doesn’t start until a mile and a half or two miles in.

This is according to ONU cross country coach Jason Maus, who says that after a couple of miles, “That’s when a lot of the race usually takes place, and the moves are made.”

2016 Fall Career & Graduate School Fair received large reception from students, potential employers`

This year’s Fall Career and Graduate School Fair gave 267 students the chance to network with potential employers and universities.

Each semester, Polar Careers hosts these networking opportunities to “give students the resources and connections that they need to set up a career.”

Over the Summer of 2016, Northern on Main (NOM) and White Bear Inn were rebranded and renovated into COSI and WOW respectively.  These changes come as a collaboration between students, the university, Sodexo Dining Services and the brands themselves.  Both dining options have seen significant traffic from both students and locals.

Ohio Northern University's chapter of Odyssey, the online student-led writing group, continues to grow on campus. The writing venue is the ideal place for young writers to begin formulating their thoughts.

No easy feat for The Ohio Northern men’s soccer team.

“We have 15 seniors this year, it is the largest number of seniors we have had in the history of the program,” head coach Brent Ridenour, who is in his 19th year at the helm, said. “It is a special group, they are super motivated. They entered ONU the year after we played for the national championship.”

Students claim to be chased by clowns across ONU’s campus

Two students at Ohio Northern claim that they were chased by someone dressed as a clown near the mud volleyball courts at 11 p.m. on Tuesday night.

Shelby Maraugha, a junior molecular biology major, and Chip Ranck, a junior manufacturing technology major, were walking on the green monster by the mud volleyball courts late Tuesday night when they reportedly saw someone pacing back and forth by the baseball field.

The person was near a parked truck with its lights on, and was walking in the grass “about 100-200 feet away” from the two students, according to Ranck.

On September 30, rapper Asher Roth performed in King Horn for the Tunes on the Tundra held by Ohio Northern University's Student Senate. Although Roth was not the students' choice, the crowd was enthusiastic and responsive.
