'Pirates' ready to set sail in Freed Center Production

This article is the first installment in a three-part series in which the reader is introduced to the art of musical theater and learns how the cast and director work together to produce a stunning performance.

William Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan’s whimsical and comedic operetta, “The Pirates of Penzance,” will return to the Freed Center for the Performing Arts April 6-9 since its last showing in 1993.

Law lecture challenges contemporary views of law education

Professor Stephen B. Presser gave a lecture to a crowd of law students in the Moot Courtroom titled with the question, “Do Law Professors Understand American Law?” on Tuesday February 16th.

Presser’s credentials include undergraduate and law degrees from Harvard University and his academic research has made him an expert of constitutional law. His lecture is part of a “book tour” for his recently published book “Law Professors: Three Centuries of Shaping American Law."

Ohio Northern University prides itself on being able to offer diverse opportunities for different students. Student Senate distributes budgets to many student clubs and organizations, allowing them to host many activities for the student body, including concerts, dances, and bingo nights. One thing many students may have not realized is that a student activities fee will be added to every student's billing for the next academic year.

Up until Saturday, the largest deficit that the fifth-ranked Ohio Northern women’s basketball team had faced was nine points; they trailed by that margin at Muskingum early in the second quarter on February 4, although they would eventually win the game by eight.

In Saturday’s Elite Eight matchup with 10th-ranked Christopher Newport, the previously undefeated Polar Bears found themselves down 21 points at the 7:51 mark in the third quarter.
