The Ohio Northern football team beat Marietta on Saturday night, 62-21. The Polar Bears recorded 618 yards of total offense in the victory.

Janusz leads experienced, healthy men’s soccer team

David Janusz, a junior forward on the ONU men's soccer team, experienced a season-ending ankle injury during his freshman season. His recovery and return were fueled by his desire to get back on the field and win an OAC championship. While the team suffered a key injury to their leading goal-scorer, Matt Kinkopf, last season, this year's team is healthy and coming for the conference crown. They are currently in first place in the OAC with just three games left in the regular season.

Stephens goes to Costa Rica for soccer, cultural experience

This summer, Shelby Stephens, was recommended to go to Costa Rica to represent all DII, DIII NCAA and NAIA schools for the Beyond Sports Program. There, she played against girls all over the US, taught children to play soccer, and beat the Costa Rican U-20 National Team.

The Ohio Northern softball team fell to Heidelberg in the championship game of the OAC tournament on Sunday afternoon by a score of 9-3. The Polar Bears had to fight their way back from a loss in their first tournament game, winning three in a row to make it to the title game. Freshman pitcher Kirsten Lightel threw 34 innings over the span of 50 hours this weekend, and the Bears fell one win short of an NCAA tournament birth.
