"America the Beautiful?" Coke’s Super Bowl commercial

Feb 12, 2014

We saw a puppy forging a friendship with a horse, a guy losing his mind while in a Doritos time machine, the 80’s calling Radio Shack for their store back and a look into the amazing developments in the field of technology. These are just some of the many commercials that aired during the big game. We all know that when it comes to the Super Bowl, commercials are a big deal.

After all, companies pay millions of dollars in order to get a coveted spot in between the plays. It has become so big that there are even commercials for the commercials!

Arctic attacks ONU

Jan 29, 2014

Martin Luther King is a figure that I've learned about my whole life. It started as soon as I was in school and basically never stopped. I used to wonder why we studied him a little bit every year, until I was in the 10th grade. In our social studies class, we went on an in-depth walk through the Civil Rights Movement. I was so surprised to learn about Dr. King. He led the charge for the Civil Rights Movement for many years, facing threats of many kinds, including threats on his family. He was jailed, beaten and eventually killed for his beliefs.
