Faculty spotlight: Ameera Ansari tailors to students

Ohio Northern University's Freed Center for the Performing Arts has many helping hands working behind-the-scenes for each theatrical show. As costume shop manager and resident designer, Ameera Ansari is right in the middle of the production.

Ohio Northern University’s Department of Music presents a holiday concert each year, but it is always advertised as the “it’s not quite Christmas yet” celebration. “Gaudete: The It’s Not Quite Christmas Yet” will prepare the ONU and Ada communities for the approaching holiday season with festive musical numbers presented by the ONU Wind and Symphony orchestras in the Freed Center for the Performing Arts at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 10.

Ohio Northern University's Department of Theatre Arts prepares its students for a future career in theatre and dance. Six musical theatre students are preparing for this journey through their senior capstone projects. The first cabaret was held on November 12 at Viva Maria's in Ada. 

Literary journal editors share ideas, learn from each other at fall conferences

Ohio Northern University's undergraduate student literary journal, "Polaris," was represented at two national literary conferences last weekend at Bowling Green State University. Students learned various writing techniques while also valuing literary citizenship.
