This article is the final installment of the three-part series in which Kirsten Osbun-Manley, the director of “The Pirates of Penzance,” explains how the directors, cast, and crew saved the show after sophomore vocal performance major Kate Patterson lost her voice due to laryngitis, which resulted in the cancelation of the performance on April 7.

At 12:30 p.m. on April 7, sophomore vocal performance major Kate Patterson met with Kirsten Osbun-Manley, director of the spring musical “The Pirates of Penzance,” to deliver some unfortunate news.

With all of the spasmodic March weather going around the Ada community, it may seem difficult to catch the spring fever. However, several students at Ohio Northern University were able to overcome rain, snow, sleet and hail to learn a large selection of music in order to give a performance of a lifetime.

On Friday March 25 at 8 p.m. Ohio Northern University’s Men’s and Women’s chorus took the stage for their annual Spring Concert. After only having eight weeks of rehearsals to get acquainted with the music the students and members of the Ada community took the stage.
