Friday performance of 'Pirates' cancelled due to illness

This article is the final installment of the three-part series in which Kirsten Osbun-Manley, the director of “The Pirates of Penzance,” explains how the directors, cast, and crew saved the show after sophomore vocal performance major Kate Patterson lost her voice due to laryngitis, which resulted in the cancelation of the performance on April 7.

The classic, highly anticipated "ONU Holiday Spectacular" opens on Nov. 19 at 7:30 p.m. inside the Freed Center for the Performing Arts. Additional performances are on Nov. 20 at 7:30 p.m., and Nov. 21 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

"In Ireland" concert performed with flare and diversity

The ONU Symphonic Band performed a diverse concert of Irish-influenced pieces on Saint Patrick’s Day evening at Freed Center. There were arrangements of the traditional Irish jigs and programmatic pieces that left you feeling like you just visited a local pub and the rolling green hills of Ireland.
