Visualize the marketing for the big cities in Ohio, what do you see? The bright lights of the Nationwide building in downtown Columbus, the dark river lit up with the lights of downtown Cincinnati or maybe the historic industry and retail in the downtown greater Cleveland area. These cities have gotten so large because of time, investments and the greater vision its residents had for their hometowns. This vision can happen to places closer to home - unlikely places - like Lima, Ohio. Its residents just have to invest in it.

'Opera Workshop' presents one-act opera to public

On March 27 at 8 p.m. inside Presser Hall, Ohio Northern University's Opera Workshop ensemble presents an one-act play, "La Pizza Con Funghi (The Mushroom Pie) - A Bel Canto Opera in One Act." The event has free admission and everyone is welcome to attend. 

Aggressive, elusive black swans safely returned to campus pond

On Tuesday, Ohio Northern's three black swans and two white ducks were returned to campus. In November, they were taken to the white barn near the president's house so that they could be cared for and protected during the winter. The Physical Plant's grounds crew takes care of the swans over the winter, and they returned the birds to campus this week.

Lovejoy was a senior heavyweight who went undefeated in the regular season before being upset early in the NCAA tournament on March 13. Lovejoy reflects on the tournament, his experience as an ONU wrestler and what being a true "student-athlete" means to him.

Graphic Advocacy: International Posters for the Digital Age 2001-2012

This organized exhibit by the Massachusetts College of Art and Design features the posters as a medium for social change. The exhibit is located in Ohio Northern University's Department of Art & Design's Elzay Gallery of Art. Viewings for this exhibit are offered from March 27 until April 12.

ONU Symphonic Band transports audience with sound

Ohio Northern University's Symphonic Band presents its spring concert with "Soundscapes 2015" today, March 23 at 7:30 p.m. inside the Freed Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets are $5 for all ONU students and can be purchased at the Freed Center's box office. 

Vandalism in Founder's Complex

On the night of Friday March 13, the Founder's complex was vandalized. The damage to bathrooms and common areas totals around $15,0000. ONU is holding those responsible accountable.
