Human experiences explored in joint dance show

Ohio Northern University's Freed Center for the Performing Arts welcomes professional dance group Taylor 2 to present a special concert on Oct. 3 at 7:30 p.m. The ONU Dance Company will join the professional troupe later in the concert. Tickets are $5 for ONU students and can be purchased at the Freed Center's box office.

There is no other athlete quite like a cross-country runner.  The sport requires a unique type of discipline and spirituality.  It is a constant battle with one’s self, and about half-way through the 2015 season, the Ohio Northern Men’s Cross Country team is winning that battle.  With a recent climb to #19 in the NCAA Division III National Polls, the team is looking at a promising season.  However, there is one key runner that is taking on a different roll in contributing to this success.

The Ohio Northern football team defeated Heidelberg 34-20 in their Homecoming game on Saturday. The Polar Bears were led by linebacker Zach Schmerge (16 tackles) and quarterback Will Freed (274 passing yards) in the win.

On Tuesday, Snapchat approved a design for ONU's first ever Snapchat Geofilter. The creator of the simple, yet effective design? Alex Sibila, a sophomore Electrical Engineering major.

Stephens goes to Costa Rica for soccer, cultural experience

This summer, Shelby Stephens, was recommended to go to Costa Rica to represent all DII, DIII NCAA and NAIA schools for the Beyond Sports Program. There, she played against girls all over the US, taught children to play soccer, and beat the Costa Rican U-20 National Team.

Trevor Noah has a very huge role to fill in, one that had been ruled by a television icon for 16 years.

The South African comedian has replaced Jon Stewart as host of the Daily Show after making his final appearance in August of this year. Making his Daily Show debut on Monday, September 28, Noah has encountered mixed reviews. Some are good and some are just critical of him.

National Hazing Prevention Week hits Greek Life

National Hazing Prevention Week (NHPW) arrived this year for the week of September 21-25. The goal of this week is to generate widespread education and awareness of hazing within the United States. (HPO), which is the organizer of this event every year wants others not only to recognize hazing when it happens, but also to learn how to prevent it.
