A common complaint among students: there is never anything to do here in Ada. Maybe it’s time to try something new, or something you never even knew about.

On March 15 the Student Planning Committee hosted Katie Wirsing, a spoken word poet. An event like this is not typical, giving the ONU community a chance to experience something new.

Students gathered in the newly renovated Bear Cave to listen to the exciting performance, many with zero prior experience with spoken word poetry.

One common student complaint is that there’s nothing to do in Ada. Oftentimes, this is more due to a lack of awareness of events, rather than the lack of events themselves. Now there’s a service to show everything that is happening around the village, all in one place, thanks to three ONU students.

Officially launched on March 7 after more than four months of work, icpins™, pronounced “I see pins,” is a web service that encourages college students to get connected.

At the age of 94, Nancy Reagan died of congestive heart failure in her Los Angeles home. Nancy Reagan is not someone who most millennials remember being in the White House. She was before the well-known Barbara Bush and Michelle Obama. She was the wife of Ronald Reagan who was President from 1981 to 1989. She had an influence on culture long after leaving the White House.
