Finals Time Blues

Tis’ the season when professors are handing out their last assignments and students are ripping their hair out due to the stresses of finals that are vastly approaching. In one week the tundra will be bare and the library and various other academic buildings will be full of students cramming in every word that was spoken to them over the course of the semester.

Law Lecture Provokes Themes of Today

Professor William R. Casto of the Texas Tech University School of Law spoke to students and faculty in the Moot Courtroom about legal advising to presidents and how the example of attorney General Robert H. Jackson is still relevant for students in school now.

Casto’s presentation recounted history mainly during the administration of President Franklin D Roosevelt before during the great depression and before the outbreak of the Second World War and attorney General Robert H. Jackson’s role in advising the president.

Ohio Northern University's Department of Theatre Arts prepares its students for a future career in theatre and dance. Six musical theatre students are preparing for this journey through their senior capstone projects. The first cabaret was held on November 12 at Viva Maria's in Ada.

Ohio Northern University held its annual Veterans Day wreath-laying ceremony on November 11. Colonel David D. Kretz spoke at the ceremony, reflecting on community involvement. 

Bears reload, seek fourth OAC title in five years

The Ohio Northern women’s basketball team will begin their 2016-17 season on Tuesday night, when they travel to Case Western Reserve. It will be the start of a long journey for the Polar Bears, as they seek their sixth straight season with 20 or more wins. They will look to win their third consecutive OAC regular season title, and will try to qualify for the NCAA tournament for the fourth time in five years.

Society for Collegiate Journalists meet in Atlanta for Biennium

Ohio Northern University's chapter of the Society for Collegiate Journalists attended the annual Biennium in Atlanta, Georgia. Students discussed various issues and concerns in journalism and college media.
