New Housing Representatives taking Oath of Office

Student Senate’s Housing Representative race ended with the swearing in of nine new Senators on September 11th. Each new Senator took the oath of office under the direction of Secretary of Judicial Affairs, Ally Garlock. Student Senate also welcomed two new law school representatives on September 25th. 

Elections took place Sept. 9th and 10th. The inauguration was Sept.11th.

Open Doors and the Japanese Student Organization (JSO) hosted a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament Sept 7 to build a stronger feeling of community on campus. The tournament doubled as a fundraiser for each organization, both walking away with greater sums than this past spring semester

ONU Student Senate met for its weekly meeting Sept. 4 in MacIntosh Activities to begin preparing for Siblings Weekend. Siblings Weekend will take place September 20 – 22. The weekend will be filled with events for the whole family such as movies and inflatables.

With Greek Life recruitment starting up, a key part of joining Greek organizations is participating in the service and good works they do for their campus and surrounding community. 

Philanthropy events at Ohio Northern University can range from events tailored around food such as Alpha Xi Delta’s Mac-N-Cheese with the Alpha Xi’s, Delta Zeta’s Smore’s for Starkey, and Theta Chi’s Tacos for Troops, to fun and engaging events such as Zeta Tau Alpha’s 5K, Kappa Alpha Theta’s Bump, Set, Kite, and Delta Sigma Phi’s Polar Plunge.
