The Coping Clinic Workshop

The counseling center started a new program Feb 10. for students called the Coping Clinic. This program, led by Director of Counseling Services Anthony Rivera, is meant to help students learn methods and techniques to cope with struggles they may be going through. This program is intended to last three weeks, with sessions occurring Monday nights from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Heterick Library.

Elzay Faculty Exhibition

The Elzay Gallery of Art featured new works by the faculty of the Art & Design program of Ohio Northern. The display featured artwork including photography by Professor Staton, paintings by Professor Eddings, sketches by Professor Mancuso, and ceramic sculptures created by Professor Sheets.

Rae Staton is the professor of photography, with her photos primarily being portraits. She strives for a natural ambiance. Rather than highly editing her photos, Staton chooses to show her model’s natural beauty.

A Magical Movie Night with SPC

The Student Planning Committee (SPC) hosts movie nights as well as many other events for the students of ONU to enjoy themselves and detox from the schoolwork load. SPC took students to the magical world of Harry Potter on Tuesday Feb. 4 as one of their movie nights, showing Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and serving various magical snacks for the students.

Warren Rehberg, a student of the ONU’s Dicke College of Business applies his knowledge from classes every day as he runs his own business. Warren is a collector and vendor of collectibles such as action figures, retro video games, comic books, pop culture, and much more while staying as a full-time student

Student Spotlight: Nolan Yahrmarkt

When senior marketing major Nolan Yahrmarkt) first came to ONU, he had never thought about playing rugby. In fact, he didn’t even know it existed.

Yahrmarkt was looking for a campus activity when some of his fraternity brothers invited him to play. 

“I needed something else besides just fraternity and studying,” he said, “so I went to a couple of practices.” 

Yahrmarkt said it was difficult to comprehend all of the rules at first, but by the time of the first match, he knew that he was staying.

The Delta Zeta Sorority at Ohio Northern University has worked to help people to hear and speak for themselves for many years with a focus on hearing and speech since 1954. 


Delta Zeta has been partnered with the Starkey Hearing Foundation since 2009 and raised over $5,000,000 for this foundation since that partnership began.

Students from across Ohio shuffle off the various charter busses like well-dressed zombies into the Sheraton Hotel at Capitol Square. Passersby may wonder why this flock of white coats has gathered. Maybe a convention for dentists? Doctors? White coat enthusiasts? If you guessed the Ohio Pharmacists Association (OPA) Student Legislative Day, you would be correct.
