The Ohio Northern University’s Symphony Orchestra begins the holiday season with a special performance on November 11 at 8 p.m. in Snyder Recital Hall located in Presser Music Hall. This orchestra concert presents a chamber orchestra repertoire performing Mozart’s Symphony No. 40, one of the only two extant minor key symphonies Mozart wrote during his career. Other musical numbers include Gabriel Fauré’s Pavane and Ralph Vaughan Williams’s Songs of Travel.

Williams’s Songs of Travel features the 2013 ONU Concerto Competition winner, Jaired Birks. Other commendable music majors will be featured in the concert, creating a beautiful concert to prepare the audience for the cold holiday season that is soon approaching the Ada community.

Admission for the concert is free and open to the public.
