On February 7, Peyton Manning, was able to lead his team, the Denver Broncos, to a 24-10 victory over the Carolina Panthers. Manning completed 13 out of his 23 attempts throughout the game, giving him a completion percentage of 56.5%. During the game, he threw for 141 yards in total and threw for an average of 6.13 yards per attempt.

This win during Super Bowl 50 was the second time Manning has won a super bowl, and is most likely going to be the last game of his professional football career. His first Super Bowl success came with the Indianapolis Colts in 2007 in Super Bowl XLI, where he led the Colts to a 29-17 win over the Chicago Bears. After the game, Manning was named the Super Bowl MVP for the efforts he displayed throughout the game.

Overall, the regular season for Manning was a rocky one. He threw for 17 interceptions and only 9 touchdowns throughout the season, but winning the Super Bowl is definitely a good way to end a career and a season that wasn’t in his favor.

It may have been a poor season for him this year, stats wise, but it does not take away from the fact that he has played an incredibly high caliber of football for the last 18 seasons as a quarterback and has had a career full of successes.

Over the course of his 18 seasons, he was chosen first overall in the 1998 NFL draft by the Indianapolis Colts. In his rookie season he threw for 3,739 yards, and 26 touchdowns, and broke multiple NFL rookie records. He was also named the the NFL player of the decade for the 2000s by Fox Sports. By the end of his time with the Colts he had won a Super Bowl, played in a second one and had been named the Most Valuable Player in the NFL four times. He has also been the Pro Bowl MVP multiple times and first-team All-Pro seven times. And these are just a few of all of the accolades and awards he has received with the Colts throughout his career as a professional football player.

While Peyton Manning may have had a tough regular season, he came through for his team in the end and cemented the fact that he was and is an incredible quarterback,. Manning will always be remembered as one of the best.
