Northern Review ‘Athlete of the Week’: Taylor Lavey

This semester, one Ohio Northern athlete each week will be featured as the Northern Review ‘Athlete of the Week.’ Sports editor Grant Pepper will talk to each athlete briefly about what they do in their sport as well as in the classroom, and the videos will be posted here and on the Northern Review’s Twitter page: @NorthernOnLine.

This week, Taylor Lavey was selected as the Northern Review ‘Athlete of the Week.’ Lavey is a sophomore sprinter on the ONU women’s track & field team who set the school record in the outdoor 100-meter dash as a freshman.

On Friday night, Lavey set the indoor 200-meter dash school record with a time of 0:26.07 at the University of Michigan’s Silverston Invitational. Last weekend, Lavey set an indoor personal record in the 60-meter dash at the All-Ohio Championships.
