HIV Testing is available at the ONU Health Center for free. 

The Human Immune Virus (HIV) affects approximately 1.1 million people in the United States. One in six people with HIV are unaware that they have it. An HIV test is the only definitive way to determine if one is or is not infected with HIV.     

Late spring a problem for those with seasonal allergies

The long, harsh winter finally seems to be over, but a late spring is ushering in a new host of problems for those who suffer from tree pollen allergies. According to the National Weather Service, the late spring will be causing pollen counts to be much higher than normal in the Midwest through the end of May.

Influenza season is in full swing in Ohio, and healthcare professionals are strongly encouraging residents to get vaccinated to prevent further spread of the virus.  

According to Karen Schroeder, director of the ONU Health Center, over 1,300 vaccines are administered by the health center each flu season.
