Mudder Bingo brings laughs, prizes, and service to campus

Surprise, confusion and humor filled the ONU tundra on Friday Oct. 16, when Phi Mu Delta (PMD) held their Mudder Bingo event.  Whether it was a live cow on the tundra, or the significant amount of prize money offered, students were happy to participate in the event, knowing they were having fun while helping the Ada community at the same time. 

Suicide: a topic worth discussing

As part of suicide awareness, Phi Mu Delta and the Counseling Center teamed up to hold a presentation tilted "Be ready, Be there" on Sept. 10. They addressed such topics as the warning signs behind suicide, and how to talk with people who are having problems with suicide. 

Freshman team wins three-on-three tournament, is ineligible to accept prize

“Blacktop Madness” quickly turned into hardwood madness as rain forced the Phi Mu Delta brothers’ first annual three-on-three basketball tournament to be moved to King Horn last Friday afternoon. The event was originally scheduled to take place at the Founders Hall basketball courts.

24 teams participated in the tournament, which was free to enter. The winner’s prize was a $30 gift card to Viva Maria’s, a local Italian restaurant. However, this year’s winner could not legally accept the prize.

The first week of college is usually an overwhelming time. After high school, everyone is trying to start fresh and get accustomed to being away from home; maybe even join some organizations. Some want to go Greek, but aren’t entirely sure which fraternity or sorority is for them.
