Laughs and cheers filled the McIntosh Ballroom on November 12 for the annual Mr. ONU Pageant, hosted by Kappa Alpha Theta.  The pageant not only crowned a victor, but also raised lots of money for charity.

Sorority group Kappa Alpha Theta put on the annual Mr. ONU Pageant, with the money and donations raised toward their philanthropy, CASA, an organization that helps children who are victims of abuse.  Their donations and funds will provide care for children in foster homes.  The money will go directly to the CASA organization within Lima and Findlay.

Mortar Board, an ONU senior honorary society focused on scholarship, leadership and service, works every year to try to give stuffed polar bears to children in the hospital. Recently, they tried to come up with a fundraiser to help raise money to get even more polar bears for the sick kids.

Last year, they held an event called Pie-A-Professor, but it didn’t go as well as hoped. With the recent popularity of 5k events, Mortar Board decided to host a holiday-themed 5k.
