Sigma Tau Delta celebrates Banned Books Week at Ohio Northern

On September 26, Ohio Northern’s English Honors Society, Sigma Tau Delta, hosted the annual Banned Book Reading event in Heterick Memorial Library. Banned Book reading celebrates the national freedom of reading. Both students and staff were able to passages from books that have either been banned or challenged by society.

Hover boards have been prohibited on ONU's Campus.  This comes as an addition to the Student Handbook, enforceable by the Office of Student Conduct.

Budget Appropriations

This year Student Senate appropriated funds for student organizations at Ohio Northern University in the face of budget cuts.

The process of appropriations is overseen of A.J. Mehlow the Secretary of Finance for Student Senate.

At the beginning of the academic year, student organizations can submit requests for funding from Student Senate.  The Student Senate at ONU is a university organization that allocates funds from a fixed amount given to them by the university.

On Tuesday, Snapchat approved a design for ONU's first ever Snapchat Geofilter. The creator of the simple, yet effective design? Alex Sibila, a sophomore Electrical Engineering major.
