Dr. Christine North speaks to Alpha Phi Omega

Alpha Phi Omega's presence at Ohio Northern has seen a huge image change. Recruitment has been no problem for APO as their numbers won't stop rising, gaining around 20 members every semester for the past couple years.

As one of the fastest growing Greek Life chapters at Ohio Northern University, Alpha Phi Omega is the single most represented intercollegiate service organization in the nation. It was founded based off of the principles taught by the Boy Scouts of America and follows three cardinal principles: Leadership, Friendship, and Service.

National Hazing Prevention Week hits Greek Life

National Hazing Prevention Week (NHPW) arrived this year for the week of September 21-25. The goal of this week is to generate widespread education and awareness of hazing within the United States. HazingPrevention.org (HPO), which is the organizer of this event every year wants others not only to recognize hazing when it happens, but also to learn how to prevent it.

On September 2, the Student Planning Committee hosted their first annual ‘Splash Bash.’ The scorching hot sun lowered to create the perfect atmosphere, making it near 80 degrees and muggy-- the perfect way to cool down and end a day peaking at over 90 degrees.

Rally in the Alley raises the roof

Rally in the Alley, hosted by the Theta Chi Fraternity, rose the roof of the McIntosh Center on Saturday, August 30. Students from all over campus came together to listen to house bands and solo performances.
