Poetry and art combines in exhibition, English Department Reading Series

Ohio Northern University's English Department and Department of Art & Design welcomed poet Philip Terman and artist James Stewart for the first event in the 2015-16 Reading Series on Sept. 16. Terman and Stewart worked together to develop a book of Terman's poetry, with Stewart providing the illustrations.

Graphic art expresses public opinion in Elzay Gallery exhibit

Ohio Northern University's Department of Art and Design invites the public to its current exhibit "Graphic Advocacy: International Posters for the Digital Age 2001-2012" in the Elzay Gallery of Art until April 12. The exhibit features graphic posters expressing popular opinions. The gallery is free and open to the public daily from 1-4:30 p.m. 

Exhibit shows fine theater craftsmanship

Integration across disciplines isn’t just a learning outcome.  It’s a concept come to life in the Elzay Gallery’s Ezekiel Award Winners exhibit. Theater and art have always had a partnership, but the exhibit solidifies that bond. Sketches and photographs showing lighting design, scenic design, scenic craft and costume design are the exhibit’s mainstays.
