Pastabilities provides much needed alternative

Apr 09, 2014

"With pasta, all things are possible."  I like to think that this was the inspiration behind White Bear's newest meal choice, Pastabilities.  Though its name might be corny, the new pasta bar is a success in my book.

It has been a few weeks since the Pastabilities line opened, and it seems to be a success if the number of students eating there can be measured as such.  Before the option was introduced, 1:30-4:30 p.m. was something of a dead spot at White Bear.  Now, lines are longer and, from my view, it seems more are being attracted to White Bear during lunch time.

More themed living gets out of hand

Apr 02, 2014

For those of you who live under a rock you may not have noticed that there is a new housing option for ONU students named FLARE. FLARE is advertised as a new living learning community focused on exercising and healthy living - with my strict diet of Oreos and exercise goals of stretching for the remote, I was instantly ineligible. However, this new trend that our school is displaying is certainly interesting to me.

Ada in need of more businesses

Apr 02, 2014

Walking down Main St. of Ada, one of the first things I notice is the number of empty storefronts.  Sadly, some businesses have a difficult time becoming established in downtown Ada.  This is not a unique phenomenon.  Across America, Main Streets are dying.

Surviving the housing lottery

Mar 26, 2014

It’s essentially the same feeling as showing up to an exam and realizing that you have no idea how to answer the first question. Your stomach drops, your cheeks flush, you feel all warm and sickly and you just want to run to the bathroom. Nothing puts a strain on your stomach quite like the housing lottery.
