This group includes senior Emily Richards, juniors Ashlie Baumann, Colleen Grainger, Avery Ewing, and Kristina Myers, sophomore Zoe Schilling and freshman Megan Wright. Freshman Chyanne Retcher will also travel as an alternate.

Head coach Jason Maus looks forward to this Saturday’s race and what these athletes will accomplish.

OAC Championship Week Preview

Oct 31, 2017 - Comments: 0

This week, three ONU teams will play for OAC Tournament trophies. The 13th-ranked women’s soccer team will look to win their first OAC Tournament title in five years, the 18th-ranked volleyball team will try to win their second straight tournament, and the men’s soccer team will attempt to pull off an upset or two to make it back to their third consecutive tournament final.

While anything could happen during Championship Week, one thing’s certain: what happens this week will definitely have an impact on these teams’ chances of making it into the NCAA Tournament.

Closing time: Where each ONU fall sports team stands down the stretch

There are two weeks until ‘Championship Week,’ when the OAC Tournaments for volleyball, men’s and women’s soccer take place, the ONU men’s and women’s cross country teams run in the OAC Championship meet, and the football team heads toward the end of their regular season (although their last game isn’t until Nov. 11).

This means that it’s time to evaluate where each ONU fall sports team stands coming down the stretch, and which games, meets or matches might play a pivotal role in determining their place in the conference.

Dean McNeil quit soccer, and that's alright

Dean McNeil’s hair is much longer now.

Dark brown tufts poke out of his pink The 1975 hat -- “does this one work? I can wear an ONU one if you want,” he asks me before we take the portrait photo for this story. “That one’s just fine,” I say -- and he now has a shadowy beard that he strokes when he likes.

When he likes.

That’s the thing. Dean McNeil does what he likes now.
