Student initiative: we now have Brazilian Portuguese classes at ONU

When Brazilian exchange student Renato Montini found that there were no Portuguese classes available at ONU, he decided to create his own. The class, which takes place Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Affinity Commons, if open to everyone.

Study Abroad office celebrates International Education Week with full schedule

As part of International Education Week, ONU's Study Abroad office is promoting a range of activities between Sat., Nov. 14 through Fri., Nov. 20. Their goal is to encourage students to broaden their horizons and participate in international travel and experiences. From a Diwali dinner and multicultural dance, to an informational workshop on peace-building, to signing up for a passport, there will be activities for anyone and everyone.

Polar Pals program getting students more internationally involved on campus

ONU's Polar Pal mentorship program, which started three years ago, aims to pair established ONU students with new international students to provide them with a friend on campus. The program has undergone many changes during its short lifetime, especially this year. International Service Coordinator Omega Hollies discusses the changes in programming.
